Márcia Cabral da Rocha, Brazilian from Recife/PE, psychologist, writer, painter, poet and storyteller. She lived for 10 years in Italy where she developed projects in the area of Art-Education, and in the hospital area, in Brazil. She currently lives in Lisbon and teaches dramatic expression for primary education, as well as painting and literature.
For 11 years she has been carrying out a project with children’s schools whose main theme is Ecology and Environment, with one of her books “A Festa da Cutia”. (Cutia’s Party)
Since 2010 she has participated in art and literature exhibitions in Europe, where she has won several prizes. At the moment she is currently involved with her new book “Um Planeta Chamado Gudein” (A Planet Called Gudein), which talks about crystal-child, the subject of her research for more than 5 years.
In Hospital Psychology she was the author of several cultural and artistic projects, such as:
1- Theater, Art Exhibition and Music in the hospital, involving patients, children and adults, and hospital professionals;
2- Itinerant library with storytelling, reaching the patients with difficulty of locomotion;
3- Sport in the hospital, socializing patients, relatives and health professionals.
She organized cultural and sports gymnastics in more than one hospital, among them the Hospital and Maternity Darcy Vargas in Joinville/SC.
She is the author of the song “mama-owl”, a symbol of breastfeeding in the maternity ward, which was broadcast on TV Globo 18 years ago.
In the children’s theater she writes his own plays and plays them in Portuguese and Italian.
In December she is to launch the tale-theater “Santa’s Workshop is in moena, City of Fairies”.
She is president of the International Cultural Association Improving. “Based in Italy.
