Maria Leonor José Mourão was born in Portalegre on 8 July 1951 (age 72). She discovered her passion for painting after choosing Ericeira as her place of residence in 2009. A versatile artist, under the artistic pseudonym “Nor”, she initially dedicated herself to watercolour painting and more recently perfected her fluid acrylic technique. Considering herself to be self-taught and driven by her “constant search for creation”, over the course of 15 years of artistic activity she produced a wide range of works and participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, with her work being appreciated by colleagues and the general public, locally, nationally and internationally, also adapting to new information technologies, namely social networks, to make her works known. His works reflect his incessant search for Beauty and Freedom, not allowing himself to be conditioned by styles and dogmas.
Professional experience and exhibitions
– From 2009 to 2020 he dedicated himself to painting as a watercolourist.
– He was a member of the Inventarte association.

– He was a member of EPOPEIA DAS ARTES.
Exhibitions
– In 2012 he held his first solo exhibition in Portalegre.
– In 2014 he participated in the first group exhibition of graphic diaries, in Torres
Vedras.
– In 2014 he participated in the cultural event “Arte ao Centro”, Torres Vedras.
– In 2015 he held a solo exhibition at “Vira Copos”, Ericeira.
– In 2015 he participated in the first group exhibition of AAPOR.
– In 2015 he held a solo exhibition at Sala Atlântico, Ericeira. Ericeira
– In 2016, he participated in a group exhibition in Salamanca, Spain, by Inventart.
– From 2016 to 2019, he participated in several group exhibitions by EPOPEIA DAS ARTES throughout the country and in the “Art Fair Málaga 17” – 1st International Contemporary Art Fair.
– In 2024, he held the solo exhibition “CRIATIVITA – 15 YEARS OF CAREER” in one of the galleries of the Mafra City Council – Casa De Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva, in Ericeira.
Awards
– From 2016 to 2020, he collaborated with the “Art Contest” competitions and won numerous awards.
– In 2016, he won the Golden Brush Award from CONINTER ARTES.
– In 2017, he won the Golden Brush Award from CONINTER ARTES.

Maria Leonor José Mourão nasceu em Portalegre a 08 de Julho de 1951 (72 anos).
Descobre a paixão pela pintura após ter escolhido em 2009 a Ericeira como local de
residência. Artista versátil e sob o pseudónimo artístico “Nor”, dedicou-se numa fase
inicial à pintura em aguarela e mais recentemente aperfeiçoa-se na técnica de acrílico
fluído.
Considerando-se como uma autodidata e impulsionada pela sua “busca constante de
criar”, ao longo de 15 anos de actividade artística produziu um vasto leque de obras e
participou em diversas exposições individuais e colectivas, sendo o seu trabalho
apreciado pelos colegas e público em geral, a nível local, nacional e internacional,
adaptando-se igualmente às novas tecnologias de informação, nomeadamente as
redes sociais, para dar a conhecer as suas obras.
As suas obras reflectem a sua incessante busca pelo Belo e pela Liberdade, não se
deixando condicionar por estilos e dogmas.

– De 2009 a 2020 dedica-se à pintura como aguarelista.
