Yngvil Birkeland, Norway
Yngvil Birkeland (1968) lives and works in Volda, at the west coast of Norway. She is a painter and glass artist, and in addition she works as a music teacher at the local high school.
Yngvil wants her pictures to be a catalyst, starting a process in the viewers, which allows them to make their own personal stories based upon her art. The pictures are mostly abstract expressionistic, presenting a visual landscape that opens for several interpretations.

Yngvil has studied both music and arts, and has also attended several specialized art courses:
