Born on August 2, 1955, in Adamantina, SP, Brazil, Alcides Neto is a self-taught genius who has been captivating the art world with his unique sensitivity in both sculpture and photography. His artistic journey began at the age of eight, when he first discovered his passion for creation, sculpting with innate talent and an innovative eye. At 20, his career took flight with an honorable mention at the first official exhibition organized by Colégio Cruzeiro do Sul in São Paulo, marking the emergence of a brilliant artist.
Over the years, Alcides Neto has garnered acclaim at prestigious art events. His early recognition includes the ACM Arts Exhibition in Itaquera (1987), the Infrastructure Arts Exhibition at Guarulhos International Airport (1988), and the Suzano Shopping Arts Exhibition (1998). Between 1998 and 2005, he shone at the Espaço Cultural Aricanduva exhibitions, earning silver and bronze medals along with several honorable mentions. His work continued to receive accolades in events hosted by the Mooca SP Subprefecture, the Cultural Space at Casa da Fazenda do Morumbi, and from 2007 to 2019 at the São Paulo Commercial Association exhibitions.

Looking ahead to 2024, Alcides is set to captivate new audiences with exhibitions and awards in Croatia (Sebastian Art Gallery – Silver Medal), Albania (Galeriakalo Tirana – Gold Medal in Photography), Morocco (Galery Olhao Talborjt Performance Hall – Silver Medal in Photography), and Portugal (Galeria Municipal Tony Vitorino, Leiria – Silver Medal in Photography). He also took part in the launch of the 5th Edition of the book “Artists Across Continents 2024” and has been featured in several international virtual exhibitions organized by Jiselda Salbu (2020–2025).

Alcides Neto, nascido em Adamantina, SP, em 2 de agosto de 1955, é um artista extraordinário que, desde a infância, vem encantando o mundo com sua arte. Autodidata, iniciou sua trajetória aos 8 anos, esculpindo com paixão e naturalidade, e, aos 20, ganhou destaque ao participar da primeira exposição oficial promovida pelo Colégio Cruzeiro do Sul em São Paulo, onde foi agraciado com menção honrosa – sinal de seu futuro brilhante.
Ao longo de sua carreira, Alcides tem sido reconhecido em importantes eventos artísticos nacionais e internacionais. Em 1987, participou da ACM Arts Exhibition em Itaquera, SP, e, no ano seguinte, recebeu menção honrosa na Exposição de Artes de Infraestrutura no Aeroporto Internacional de Guarulhos. Em 1998, sua participação na Exposição de Artes do Shopping Suzano foi novamente aplaudida com menção honrosa.
Entre 1998 e 2005, suas obras brilharam nas exposições do Espaço Cultural Aricanduva, onde colecionou medalhas de prata, bronze e diversas menções honrosas. A partir de 2005, sua arte seguiu sendo celebrada em eventos promovidos pela Subprefeitura de Mooca, pelo Espaço Cultural da Casa da Fazenda do Morumbi e, de 2007 a 2019, pela Associação Comercial de São Paulo. Em 2005, Alcides Neto foi destaque na publicação do “Dicionário de Artistas Brasileiros”, aparecendo em três páginas, e em 2006 obteve reconhecimento internacional com um certificado na Exposição de Arte no Conrad Hotel e Punta De Leste, no Uruguai.
Mais recentemente, sua genialidade transcende fronteiras. Em 2023, Alcides encantou públicos internacionais com exposições na Espaciogallery em Londres; Dundas Street Gallery, na Escócia; e na Chalkos Gallery em Tessalônica, Grécia, onde conquistou a Medalha de Ouro em Fotografia. Ainda nesse ano, sua arte foi exibida na Casa Odisseia Gallery em São Paulo, na Luxembourg Art Fair – onde recebeu Medalha de Prata em Fotografia – e no Atelier Bal d’Art Begium Espace, na Bélgica.
