Artist name: (Galvão-Lucas).
Born in Coimbra in 1947. He graduated in Architecture at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 1974.
As a Visual Pavilion programmer, he won 1st Prize at the Expo / Expo / 93 event, promoted by the Leiria Youth Institute. He decorated and set up spaces for
the realization of concerts and choreographies for ballets.
He is invited by the Museums of the University of Coimbra to create backdrops for their collections. He participates in several national and international exhibitions, as a visual artist (PINTURA).
In 1979 at the expo “INTERARTE/ BAHIA/ Brasil. -In teaching, in Brazil he is a University Professor at the Faculties of Architecture/Urbanism “UNISINOS” and “CANOENSE”-
In the 90s, already in Portugal, he dedicates himself exclusively to teaching in Higher Education, Painting and Poetry and his activities cover the fields of painting,
sculpture, scenography and poetry.
In 2000, he was invited to the “International Meeting of Painters in Condeixa/2000” and, in 2005, as one of the painters for the inauguration of the Bertrand Bookstore Gallery in the Estádio da Cidade de Coimbra/ Dolce Vita complex. ).-With several collective and individual painting exhibitions, with works in Private Collections, Foundations and Public Institutions.
In poetry with participation in several Collections, with several prizes and, with published 2 poetry books in Brazil 1 in PORTUGAL.
A new book is in press with the title “Sentimentos de um Viver”, illustrated with his works, in private collections, public institutions and foundations to be launched in 2023.
Participated in Luxexpo – Boksen Luxembourg, Art Fair 2023 ( Mention Honrable ).
