Rô Lopes – Art as the Essence of Life
Rosângela Rosa Lopes Bezerra, known in the artistic and literary world as Rô Lopes, was born in the 1960s and spent her childhood with her grandmother, who introduced her to the colorful universe of embroidery. It was by her grandmother’s side, watching the threads come to life, that she developed a deep love for colors, textures, and creativity.
She studied at the Federal Technical School of Goiás, where she attended the Industrial Gymnasium, a program that allowed students to explore artistic and domestic workshops, such as embroidery, sewing, home decoration, drawing, interior design, and painting. It was in these formative years that her passion for art began to blossom.
Driven by a sense of duty and service, Rô pursued a degree in Public and Business Administration at FACH, where she passed with distinction and was soon hired through a federal public service exam. However, her true dream extended beyond administration—it included law, justice, and art. She later took a second entrance exam, achieved first place, studied law, left public administration behind, and began practicing as a lawyer.
Years of legal and administrative work, however, led to health issues. What doctors initially diagnosed as depression would later be recognized as Burnout Syndrome, the result of chronic stress and emotional exhaustion caused by overwork and high demands.
Following medical advice, she took a two-year sabbatical to recover, during which she was encouraged to take up painting or crafts. She chose painting—and discovered in it a new path of healing and freedom. Naturally versatile and eclectic, Rô embraced various artistic styles with enthusiasm and authenticity.
A gifted writer as well, Rô often pairs her paintings with poetic or narrative texts, creating rich, multidimensional works that merge image and word. Her deep love for culture in all its forms permeates everything she does.
Among her awards is a special recognition from PUC, where her powerful series of three paintings depicting the world of burnout and solitude earned wide acclaim.

Today, Rô continues to paint, write, and dream—with a special desire in her heart: to visit her son in Europe and exhibit her work in Portugal, France, and other countries that may open their arms to her artistic vision.

Rosângela Rosa Lopes Bezerra, conhecida no universo artístico e literário como Rô Lopes, nasceu nos idos de 1960 e, desde tenra idade, encontrou nas cores e nos fios do bordado, ao lado da avó, suas primeiras inspirações criativas. Foi nesse ambiente afetuoso que despertou o amor pelas artes, observando atentamente os delicados pontos de linha que ganhavam vida em tecidos, enquanto criava pequenos emaranhados de cor com olhos de encantamento.
Estudou na Escola Técnica Federal de Goiás, onde se destacou por sua curiosidade e talento nas oficinas de arte e utilidades domésticas – como corte e costura, design de interiores, pintura e desenho. Ali, nasceu uma paixão genuína pela criação e pela estética.
Acadêmica dedicada, cursou Administração Pública e de Empresas na FACH, sendo aprovada também em concurso federal, no qual atuou como administradora. Contudo, o chamado pela justiça a conduziu ao curso de Direito, no qual ingressou como primeira colocada. Por anos, advogou com firmeza, até que os efeitos do serviço público afetaram sua saúde – diagnosticada com aquilo que mais tarde seria reconhecido como Síndrome de Burnout.
Durante um período sabático de recuperação, encontrou novamente na arte seu refúgio e cura. Iniciou sua trajetória na pintura, e seu talento logo se expandiu em uma linguagem visual rica, intuitiva e profundamente sensível. Versátil por natureza, Rô transita com liberdade por diferentes estilos e técnicas, expressando sua alma artística com autenticidade. Cada obra é atravessada por sua formação jurídica e literária, revelando uma fusão rara entre imagem, palavra, sentimento e pensamento.
Premiada por sua série de três telas sobre Burnout e Solidão, apresentada na PUC, sua obra tem ganhado reconhecimento nacional e internacional. Além disso, Rô Lopes é agraciada com diversas Comendas e Títulos Honoríficos, entre eles:
